Keyword density refers to how many instances of a keyword appear on a given website or within a bit of published content as a ratio or percentage of the overall word count. That is also known as keyword frequency, or the frequency with which a selected keyword is found on a webpage.
Keyword density can also be calculated as a specific number if that is what you need to. To determine the keyword density of a website, divide the number of keyword mentions by the total number of words on that page. The ratio you get is the keyword density of that page.
